It all started with a dinner in autumn 2024. Around the table sat some of the most influential tech minds in the Netherlands—CTOs, CIOs, and professors shaping future IT professionals. As the conversation unfolded, one question stood out:

"Looking around, I mostly see people of our generation. Where are the young tech talents who will succeed us?"

That sparked an idea. While the industry talks about the next wave of tech leaders, real dialogue between generations is rare. A recent market exploration revealed exactly that—young professionals are eager to connect, learn, and grow, but existing networks often feel too commercial or out of reach.

What We’re Building
The Next Gen Tech Leaders Community is here to change that. Together with CIO Platform Nederland, we’re creating a network that brings together today’s leaders and tomorrow’s innovators—starting with hundreds and growing to thousands. This is a space where tech professionals at all levels can share insights, build connections, and develop the leadership skills needed to thrive in the industry.

With a core team of ambassadors shaping the community, we’ll host 2–4 themed events per year focused on leadership development and networking. But this is more than just another tech event—it’s a movement, designed to make leadership accessible, mentorship meaningful, and collaboration effortless.
